Berdasarkan studi yang dilakukan World Contraceptive Use 2016, KB suntik ternyata paling banyak digunakan di dunia. Setelah itu ada pil, kondom, IUD dan jenis KB lainnya.
Seperti dilansir Independent, Selasa (11/4/2017), studi ini dilakukan dari selama lima tahun dari 2010-2015, melibatkan wanita berusia 15-49, 18-49, 20-49.
“Kebutuhan alat kontrasepsi bukan hanya mengacu pada wanita yang aktif secara seksual tapi juga mereka yang berniat untuk tidak memiliki anak,” kata peneliti.
Dari data tersebut, bisa dilihat bahwa alat kontrasepsi seperti suntik dan pil paling banyak digunakan wanita di Afrika dan Asia Tenggara.
